Notes:  This article reports on a US study of 142 female victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) who sought services from health care providers (HCPs). The authors of this article stress the need for HCPs to include IPV screening, counselling and safety referrals in their consultations with women, in order to encourage women to disclose experiences of IPV.
