The author first examines the international literature of risk assessment approaches and tools. This is followed be a review of the validity and reliability of current assessment tools. Finally, the author examines the engagement of victims in the risk assessment process including discussion of assessment tools and the effectiveness and accuracy of victim appraisals. Implications for research and practice are included. |
