dc.description.notes | This article addresses the measures implemented to address the risk of violence after separation when children are present. Child Contact Centres have been funded by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department to ensure that children maintain relationships with both parents in a safe environment for the child and the offended parent. An assessment or intake interview measures the level of threat posed by each individual and determines the level of surveillance required. Both parents sign an agreement that establishes the procedures, conditions and requirements of the service. Contact Centres provide an option for victims that reduces the possibility of re-experiencing abuse. | en |
