Notes: | At DVIRC's family law forum on 13 June, Andrew Bickerdike from Relationships Australia spoke about the new emphasis on providing dispute resolution services for separating couples. This article is based on the paper he presented. It discusses the opportunities of the new system for separating parents, the risks for clients affected by family violence, and some of the dilemmas for mediation service providers. He also presented some of the findings of recent research about clients' experiences of mediation. |
