| Notes: | Northern Domestic Violence Service (NDVS) in the north of Adelaide is honing its approach to case management with children and young people. NDVS provides services to women and their children experiencing domestic and Aboriginal family violence (D+AFV). Their work with children and young people utilises a human rights framework and is based on recent research evidence about the value of mother-child relationships in responding to the impacts of D+AFV. The approach aims to address abuse and trauma in a form that is appropriate to children's developmental needs, and engages women in providing such support to their children. |
