dc.description.notesThis US-based study examined the experiences and outcomes of 965 couples going through divorce proceedings. In more than 90% of cases, parents reporting some form of intimate partner violence (IPV). The study specifically set out to assess mediator’s effectiveness in assessing for IPV, whether agreements included safety planning, long-term outcomes of mediation and identification of factors affecting the mediation process and outcomes. Findings also explored experiences of parenting arrangements and contact orders. Recommendations for research, policy and practice are included.en
