| Abstract: | This summary report presents key findings from the National Survey of LGBTIQA+SB Experiences of Sexual Violence, conducted between September 2023 and February 2024. Drawing on responses from over 3,400 participants, including 416 First Nations people, the report outlines rates and timing of sexual violence, its emotional, physical and economic impacts, and experiences of disclosure and help-seeking. It also summarises findings related to community attitudes and bystander behaviour. The summary highlights practical recommendations for prevention, early intervention, response and recovery, with a strong focus on lived experience, intersectionality, and the need for culturally safe and trauma-informed services. |
