Power differentials highlighted by feminist theories of intimate violence are discussed and, whilst it is acknowledged that such models have tended to focus exclusively on heterosexual violence, the value of feminist contributions and the parallels that might be drawn between heterosexual and homosexual intimate violence are emphasised. Further research into potential correlating factors such as dependency, internalised homophobia and personality disorders is advocated. | en |
