This report provides data on the circumstances and needs of people experiencing homelessness in Australia, and represents the first analysis of data from the consolidated Registry Week survey. Registry Weeks are held across Australian capital cities and regional centres by local homelessness services and aim to develop a register of those who are homeless using a common interview schedule. 8,370 people have participated across Australian capital cities and regional centres over the last 7 years, providing the largest and richest dataset outside of the Census and the Specialist Homelessness Services Collection. This report profiles the backgrounds of people experiencing homelessness, examines the length of time spent homeless or without stable accommodation, assesses healthcare needs and current healthcare use, examines interaction with the justice system and current exposure to harm and risk, examine financial circumstances and social needs, and outlines, in the participants' own word, what they feel they need in order to be safe and well. The report also provides background information on the prevalence of homelessness, risk factors, costs, and specialist services.<br/ ><br/ >from Troveen
