Notes:  In an investigation of intimidation incidents which were collected from the NSW Police database from 2006-2011, the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research sought to determine if there had been a change in the characteristics of intimidation over time. This study also inquired into whether there had been an increase in incidents of intimidation related to domestic violence (DV) during this period.

Findings showed that intimidation related to DV is increasing and that this rise is reflected in the overall increase in the number of offences of harassment (of which intimidation is a sub-category).
