dc.description.notes
Produced by the Women’s Council for Domestic & Family Violence Services (WA), this fact sheet summarises research conducted in 2003-2004 by the organisation to determine the increasing costs of refuge services in Western Australia. A telephone survey in November of 2003 and a questionnaire mailed to 13 refuge services in the Western Australian metropolitan area in April 2004 were used to assess costs and value of 24 hour women’s refuge services. Strongly committed to the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP), the Women’s Council includes five recommendations to be considered in the negotiation of a new Commonwealth and State SAAP agreement to replace the current one which expires in June 2005.
en
