Notes:	General Overview:This paper discusses Indigenous perpetrators of domestic violence. It aims to quantify the prevalence of violence in Indigenous communities; it considers the nature of this violent behaviour and it examines the relationship between risk factors (the factors which may make violence more likely) and violence. Of the variable risk factors, alcohol abuse ranked as most likely to increase the risk of violence. The paper suggests that in order to find solutions there must be an improvement in the gathering of data on Indigenous violence. Further, it must be kept in mind that whilst many Indigenous people confront the same risks as offenders, they do not offend. As such we must identify and promote the strengths of Indigenous communities.
