This article reports on the results of the US-based National Survey of Children's Exposure to Violence which interviewed 4,549 children to examine the co-occurrence of experiencing any major form of child maltreatment and witnessing intimate partner violence. Results indicate high correlations between witnessing and experiencing family violence. This relationship is examined by different types of maltreatment for both past year and lifetime reports.en
