The authors relied on the findings of the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS). The FFCWS was a longitudinal study designed to provide comprehensive information on the characteristics of parents and the wellbeing of their children. It was conducted in 20 US cities with populations over 200,000.
