Reports on the actions of a dedicated group of women who travelled to the High Court in Canberra in a bid to free Heather Osland, convicted of murdering her husband and sentenced to fourteen and a half years in prison. The women involved in the Release the Heather Osland Campaign rallied together and assisted legal representatives in presenting their arguments -in particular - the application of laws relating to self defence and provocation with respect to women who were victims of domestic violence. At the time this article was written, the High Court had not yet made a decision.en
