Outlines the background to, organisational structure and core principles of, the Gold Coast Domestic Violence Integrated Response, a project aimed at developing a coordinated interagency response to the needs of victims of domestic violence. Some of the key projects undertaken by the network are discussed, including the Fax-Back Project, the Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme and the Mandated Men’s Program. Concludes by highlighting some of the major challenges facing this and other multi-agency projects in the future, suggesting ways of overcoming these barriers and building community intolerance against domestic violence.
