This article presents findings from a UK study that involved a nationwide survey, four focus groups and 67 interviews comparing love and violence in heterosexual and same-sex relationships. This particular paper examines the experiences of people aged under 25 and in their first same-sex relationship. The authors discuss four themes which arose from the qualitative data as an argument for ensuring that sex education for young people is inclusive of same-sex relationships as a way to prevent and support victims of same-sex domestic violence.en
