Notes:	General Overview: In this Australian paper, the authors present findings of a trial of a counselling intervention for women experiencing intimate partner violence. Discussion: The 'weave' project is a brief counselling intervention based on the 'readiness to change' concept. The paper outlines the literature on the Transtheoretical Model of Behaviour and the Psychosocial Readiness to Change Model, as they apply to intimate partner violence. The authors describe the intervention, its goals and how it was utilised in the 'weave' project in practice and in the context of the theoretical basis for the intervention. The results of the trial are outlined and steps described for training health professionals in the delivery of this intervention.
