This US study surveyed low income adolescent girls in an urban school-based health centre in the Northeastern USA, to explore associations among dating violence, aggression, relationship power and depressive symptoms. The study found that complex associations exist between mental health and dating violence and that depressive symptoms are associated with victimisation and aggression. The study recommends that nurses need to address relationship power in clinical and community interventions.en
