Notes: | This article used qualitative interviews with social workers in Canadian child protection services to examine worker practices in cases of domestic violence. The authors discuss and examine how practitioners perceived, responded to and involved mothers including issues of blame for not leaving a relationship in order to protect the child from the affects of domestic violence. Findings were also presented about how practitioners intervene in these cases and what factors benefit or harm intervention. |
