Presents the methodology and findings of a meta-analysis which examined research into psychosocial outcomes for children exposed to intra-parental violence and the range of moderating factors identified by these studies. A background to research on child witnesses of violence is provided and it is suggested that the review of 118 studies conducted in a number of countries indicates a significant association between intra-parental violence and child outcomes. Several limitations of the study are identified and a range of recommendations for future research and practice are made.en
