Notes: | This journal article reports on the first systematic review to identify and evaluate the evidence regarding community-level correlates related to intimate partner violence against women. Examples of community-level correlates examined include women's education, female and male literacy, employment levels, racial and age composition, gender norms including attitudes toward gender roles. The paper concludes that future studies should focus on community-level correlates of gender inequality, gender norms and social cohesion. |
