An ongoing experience of homelessness, displacement, abuse, trauma, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, grief and loss along with mental health and social isolation can lead many women into a cycle where criminal activity and recidivism which is difficult to break. The case of Kate, a female prisoner who managed to transform her life with the support of Women's Integrated Support Program (WISP) is highlighted.en
