Notes:  Williamson’s UK journal article responds to practitioners’ increasing concerns about the perceived rise of domestic violence and abuse (DVA) in military families. The author reviews existing literature in the area and then evaluates research results from a recent UK study aimed at understanding the type, prevalence and impact on military families of DVA. Finally, reintegration of military personnel is discussed in relation to control, decision making and gender roles, emphasising the necessity to revisit strategies for addressing these issues.
