This article calls for the introduction of a Domestic Violence Death Review Team in Queensland. It suggests that many domestic homicides have predictive elements. Victims and/or perpetrators may have contacted any number of agencies and systems prior to the homicide. It advocates that the key to the prevention of domestic homicide is developing a better understanding of patterns, indicators and gaps in current responses, and fatality reviews are one way of gaining this understanding. It refers to the Queensland’s Domestic Violence Death Review Action Group lobbying the Queensland Government to establish a process for domestic violence death reviews.en
