Notes:	Addresses the difficult issue of how child protection services can incorporate the growing awareness of the overlap of child abuse and domestic violence into their practice within a US context. Argues that training alone is necessary but insufficient to respond to the child protection implications of domestic violence and that the different traditions and perspectives of domestic violence and child protection systems cannot be combined, necessitating ongoing collaboration and consultations between the two systems to achieve “seeing double”. Describes the benefits of the Massachusetts model of employing domestic violence specialists within the child protection agency and outlines some of the complex and challenging issues which have been raised by child protection workers through the domestic violence consultations.
