Notes: | Provides an overview of the variety of forms and locations of research on violence against women, emphasising the need to remain critical of what we read and to recognise key differences between quantitative and qualitative research. Five basic guidelines for critically analysing research reports on violence against women are then presented and it is suggested that, for the results of research to have a positive influence on practice and policy, it is important we remain critically aware of the limitations. |
