This article provides a summary of the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) Evaluation of the 2006 Family Law Reforms:specifically focusing on the findings related to family violence. The authors present findings from the study related to prevalence, experience of other problems before separation, parenting care-time arrangement patterns, child wellbeing, parental relationship quality and the pathways through the family law system of families experiencing family violence.
