Notes:	Describes the project, From Behind Closed Doors:, an exhibition of art works addressing the theme of family violence which was initiated by the Grampians Family Violence Prevention Network. The organisation is made up of service workers involved in some way with family violence in the Grampians region of Western Victoria and they initiated the project in 2003-4 based on research showing that art may be used to facilitate healing in both individuals and communities affected by family violence. The broad objectives of the project were to provide an opportunity for people who have experienced family violence to collectively share and process their experiences within a creative environment and to generate discussion about family violence within our communities through the presentation of a high profile art exhibition. The exhibition will tour public galleries and outlying towns in the Grampians region and an official launch, publicity and media coverage at each venue will promote awareness of family violence to the general community as well as to health and welfare service providers and decision-makers within the region.
