Reviews the recently published 'Childhood Experiences of Domestic Violence', written by Caroline McGee. The book reports on a research study aimed at exploring children's and young people's perceptions of their experiences of domestic violence and examines some of the UK responses to domestic violence in recent years. Two key findings of the study are highlighted in the review. Firstly, children are more aware of violence in their home than their parent/s realise; and secondly, many women and children do not seek help because they lack accurate information on and access to services.en
