Notes:	Discusses policing procedures regarding Apprehended Violence Orders and the arising issues in the context of family violence within Indigenous communities. Issues examined include police as service providers, concerns relating to the imprisonment of offenders, community isolation, disappointing police responses to Apprehended Violence Order breaches within Indigenous communities, and police racism. Concludes with the need for a holistic approach between police, community services and Indigenous communities towards the prevention of family and domestic violence within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
