Notes:	Reports on a two-year project begun in 2004 and funded through the National Suicide Prevention Strategy to investigate the links between interpersonal violence, suicidality, and cultural diversity. It is hoped that the project, presently in the consultation and data-gathering phase, will be the basis for a learning resource designed to meet the needs of frontline service providers working with a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) population in addressing the risk of suicide in the context of interpersonal trauma. An extensive list of references is used to report on research linking suicide and interpersonal violence and, also, suicide and a history of sexual assault. The need for specific investigation into the association of suicidality and interpersonal violence within a cross-cultural context is also discussed.
