This journal article looks at the current status of knowledge translation – the process by which research is progressed into practice – in the study of violence against women and children. The authors reviewed the literature in this area and conclude that this field of research is in its infancy with many issues still to be examined.<br/ ><br/ >They located twenty-two studies which were suitable for review, thirteen of which were deemed to be implementation studies:. Details of these 13 are presented in table form giving references, objectives of the study, study design and participants, and key results obtained. Overall, the review of the 22 studies showed a need for more rigorous assessment of knowledge translation, and the difficulty of capturing and measuring knowledge utilization.en
