General Overview: :This article examines features of Australian multi-agency and integrated responses to domestic violence.<br/ ><br/ >Discussion: :In this article, the author provides a brief overview of Australian multi-agency responses to domestic violence and identifies features which characterise good practice. Reasons for integration or coordination of service provision are discussed and O'Connor's continuum for understanding types of multi-agency response is developed and modified, to assist with understanding system variations across Australian jurisdictions. The importance of information sharing, accountability and transparency is argued and a table of key features of good practice is presented. factors which have led to less successful experiments with integration are also identified. The author proposes the need for enhanced coordination of state/territory and Commonwealth responses, particularly in relation to family law, suggesting that this as the next area for multi-agency collaboration.en
