Notes:	Outlines some significant developments in domestic violence policy and accommodation assistance programmes over the last decade, highlighting the various ways in which the progress of such responses might be measured. Goes on to present the research design and findings of a national project aimed at documenting the extent and nature of accommodation options for victims of domestic violence and the ways in which they have developed and changed over time. Key observations and issues emerging from the study are then examined, such as the paucity of outreach and follow-up programmes, the need for funded transitional and long-term housing, the high prevalence of children accompanying parents in need of crisis accommodation and the increasing diversification of service models and programmes.
