The Committee was established by Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon and is a joint project of the Victoria Police and the Victorian Office of Women’s Policy. A description is included of the three projects which the Committee will undertake to implement their action plan. Also included in the article is a list of the Terms of Reference for the review of the Crimes (Family Violence) Act 1987 which the Law Reform Commission will undertake in 2003.
