Review of report which describes research conducted in the UK in which women and children using outreach services were interviewed about their experiences and the role of outreach programmes in help-seeking and support. Outreach service providers and referral agencies were also interviewed about their observations concerning effective service delivery.<br/ >Study results highlight both the barriers and helpful responses identified by women, children and service providers. Examples of good practice within outreach services are emphasised throughout the report and it is suggested these could be used to evaluate and guide the development of outreach services. Key issues raised by the research include concerns about the safety of women and children negotiating child contact arrangements. Report concludes with recommendations for improving the safety of women and children and the quality of help-seeking responses.en
