After 20 years of conflict in Northern Uganda and a generation exposed to a lifetime of violence, rates of gender-based violence, sexually transmitted infections, unwanted pregnancy are high. A study of the life histories of adolescents at transitional life course stages, and signicant adults was conducted. The results were used to develop complementary life-course specific interventions to support community efforts to rebuild protective traditions and challenge gender inequality with the aim of supporting adolescents' health passage into adulthood.en
