This review examines English-language trials of the effectiveness of screening and interventions for intimate partner violence (IPV), diagnostic accuracy studies of screening instruments and studies of adverse effects of screening. The study found that screening may provide benefits for women including reduced IPV and improved birth outcomes, that screening instruments were accurate and any adverse effects were minimal.en
