Adolescence is a critical time for the development of attitudes and skills that underpin healthy relationships for young women. It is a time when many young women begin to form intimate relationships as well as being a time of increased risk of interpersonal violence. This paper explores a prevention program based on peer education developed and implemented by a feminist women’s health centre in South Western Sydney. The five session program with Year 9 young women has been implemented in schools. The findings from pre and post questionnaires identify statistically significant shifts in knowledge and attitudes towards domestic violence as well as pointing to specific issues requiring further activism and education. The paper argues for the usefulness of peer education in assisting young women develop, equal, safe and healthy relationships into the future.en
