This paper reports on the evaluation of curriculum developments implemented in Queensland schools to improve health outcomes in the event of domestic violence. The task assessed, Senior Health Education Syllabus, is based on the view that health should be self-promoted and risks avoided and reduced. Personal relationships are presented as risky and domestic violence as a real issue with significant economic, legal and medical costs for the community, individuals and families. Students were encouraged to challenge domestic abuse and argue against its acceptability.en
