dc.description.notesThis article discusses the experiences of the Coalition of Women’s Domestic Violence Services of South Australia, in gaining media exposure to the issue of domestic violence homicides in the state and the campaign for the establishment of a Domestic Violence Death Review process. Suggestions are offered on using the media effectively. The article analyses the way media reported on domestic homicides, points to the positive impact the Coalition had on media reportage and concludes that the media can be an ally of women’s services to educate the broader community about domestic violence.en
