Notes:  This article examines perceptions of the experience of gendered violence in different cultural and religious groups in Nordic countries This research is based on 35 interviews with representatives from Finnish police, social workers and refuge workers. The author outlines the main discourses adopted by practitioners and authorities about gender, ethnicity and race, when dealing with the impact of gendered violence on migrant communities.
