dc.description.notes | General Overview: This policy manual gives an overview of the objectives of the NSW Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Program (WDVCAP) and Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme (WDVCAS) for services provision to women and children who have experienced domestic violence.<br/ ><br/ >Methods: This manual has been developed in consultation with WDVCAS Network, the Legal Aid Commission, the Training and Resource Unit and WDVCAS Managing Organisations.<br/ ><br/ >Discussion and Results:Principles, aims and objectives are set out. Organisational roles of the WDVCAS, Legal Aid Commission, Managing Organisations and the Training and Resource Unit are explained. Client policies such as where both parties are women, clients’ rights, child protection, confidentiality and privacy are included. Conflict resolution policies, staff policies and other policies are also provided.<br/ ><br/ >Conclusions: Statements of duties for the co-ordinator, assistant co-ordinator, specialist worker, support workers, administration workers, seconded worker, student and volunteer are given.
