dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Many victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) engage the criminal justice system for help and safety, and first responders such as police, face a significant challenge in providing the appropriate assessment and management of cases in a way that helps to reduce IPV and the associated harms. This thesis aimed to add to existing knowledge of the assessment and management of IPV by police using an evidence-based model. The results add to a growing understanding of how police might assess and manage risk in this area using an evidence-based model. | en |
