See also the Diversity Training Manual in the Research and Resources database.<br/ >See also a similar booklet in English and Vietnamese.<br/ >This book (in English and Bosnian) forms part of the Immigrant Women's Support Service's (IWSS) Diversity Training Project, which aims to enhance the capacity of service providers to respond to the needs of non-English speaking children and young people affected by domestic violence. This book seeks to encourage children to discuss with their non-abusing parent/caregiver or practitioner the ways in which they have experienced domestic violence. It gives examples of the different types of abuse (physical, verbal, cultural/racial/spiritual, financial, child abuse and sexual abuse). It also includes information notes for the non-abusing parent/caregiver or practitioner, to facilitate support for the child. Key contacts throughout Australia on multicultural advocacy services, migrant women's support and accommodation services, legal aid, translating and interpreting services, and domestic violence services are provided at the end.en
