This US tool is designed to assist lawyers when representing domestic violence survivors. The tool aims to improve consumer advocacy by providing concrete guidance to lawyers on how to identify consumer issues faced by the survivors of domestic violence. The consumer issues identified include managing household income and expenses, credit reporting, foreclosure and eviction, auto access and ownership and dealing with debts. The tool offers a series of questions to be posed by lawyers when interviewing their clients in order to garner relevant information in a sensitive and appropriate manner.en
