The Power and Control Wheel was developed as an important visual tool for use in DAIP training to illustrate the ways a perpetrator abuses his partner.

The Power and Control Wheel is gender specific, as is the Post Separation Power and Control wheel. Other wheels have been designed to show relationship equality, love and care for children, and abuse of children by parents.
