This Victorian booklet is a guide for men explaining the Victorian Family Violence Court Division counselling orders. These orders are for men who have had an intervention order made against them by the Magistrates' Court in Ballarat or Heidelberg, directing them to counselling where an intervention order has been made. It seeks to explain to men who are respondents to an intervention order relating to their partner or former partner. It explains about why a counselling order is made, who can receive a counselling order, attending an eligibility assessment interview, eligibility requirements, when a counselling order finishes, relationship between the counselling order and intervention order, getting the order changed, appeals, and what happens if the counselling order is ignored or breached. It also describes what it is like going to a men's behaviour change group. List of relevant services is also included.
