dc.description.notes | This paper reports some of the feedback from parents, children and service providers during the evaluation of the Columbus Pilot project, implemented in the Family Court of Western Australia in July 2001. Columbus was conceived as an early intervention process in matters where there were allegations of child abuse, and domestic/family violence where there were risks for the children. This evaluation explores issues such as how the parents experienced the court system and Columbus process; their views of child representatives, court experts and lawyers; their experiences with service providers; and the impact they felt the Columbus process may have had on them, their former partner and their children. Similar themes were explored with children. Agencies were asked about the impact that Columbus had on their client base and services. | en |
